About the role
Work remotely and in-person with communities in Nunavut. Continuum North is looking for regulated/licensed professionals (child psychologist, clinical counsellor, clinical social worker, occupational therapist, or mental health nurse) to join our school based mental health team.
Responsibilities
- Engage children, schools, and families within an interdisciplinary model while providing onsite and virtual services to schools and students.
- Offer a hybrid of travel-based in person service and remote/virtual services.
- Enjoy the flexibility of working anywhere within Canada.
- Travel is funded from most major Canadian cities.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Inuit cultures and ways of being (or willing to learn)
- Cultural humility/commitment to reconciliation
- Trauma and neurodiverse informed approach
- Work collaboratively with inter-professional team, schools, communities and families
- Understanding of Inclusive schooling and tiered model of service (i.e., MTSS/RTI)
Qualifications
- Registered with a provincial or territorial regulatory body in Canada (Psychologists should be eligible for registration in Nunavut)
