About the role
The School Based Mental Health Professional provides behavioral health services as contracted by the school district. The behavioral health services may include coordinating, assessing, implementing, and evaluating the behavioral healthcare needs of children, adolescents, and families providing classroom support, individual counseling, facilitating social skills groups, crisis intervention, etc.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services to promote exploration and understanding of personal and interpersonal dynamics as designated by school district and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) needs.
- Provide and monitor behavioral data for documentation.
- Develop behavioral summaries to be used at IEP meetings and to access care.
- Handle all administrative duties such as incident reporting, therapeutic restraint paperwork, SAFE-T documentation, and other necessary paperwork consistent with licensure, accreditation, funding sources and CGRC technology reporting requirements.
- Facilitate Social Skills groups as outlined by school district need.
- Provide clinical leadership to CGRC team in schools.
- Consult with all other professionals involved in service to the child, adolescent, and family.
Requirements

Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Licensure as a Social Worker, Psychologist, or Counselor in the state where you will be practicing.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a school-based setting.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and interventions for addressing behavioral health needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, and other professionals.
Skills

- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of behavioral health interventions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM.
