School Age Teacher

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement engaging lesson plans and activities tailored to school-age children.
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Encourage positive social interactions and foster a supportive classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones.
• Collaborate with other staff members to support program goals and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with school-age children in an educational or childcare setting.
• A strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Work Environment

• This position is based in Villa Rica, GA and involves working primarily indoors with some outdoor activities.
• The role requires standing, walking, and engaging actively with children throughout the day.
