Teacher (Ages 2–3)

About the role

Shepherd's Flock Preschool is seeking a passionate Toddler Teacher to join their award-winning intergenerational preschool program located on the campus of Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights. Responsibilities

• Foster a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children ages 2-3 years old
• Integrate teaching skills with the values and principles of a mission-driven organization
• Provide children with a well-rounded and developmentally appropriate educational experience
• Support each child's growth through intentional interactions, care, and guidance
• Participate in intergenerational programming opportunities with older adults
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members

Requirements

• At least a two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework such as Human Growth and Development, Lifespan Development, or similar
• 1-3 years of early childhood education or childcare experience preferred
• Early Childhood Education Level 3 certification completed or willingness to obtain after hire
• Infant Toddler Level 2 certification completed or willingness to obtain after hire

Qualifications

Competitive Pay: $22.50 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
