School Age Childcare Site Director – Before & After School
About the role
This position offers more than a typical part-time job in childcare. You will step into a leadership role where your work directly shapes a positive, structured, and engaging environment for children before and after school. One of the most unique parts of this opportunity is employer-paid childcare for your own children enrolled in the program, helping you significantly reduce childcare costs while staying closely connected during the workday. You will also benefit from a flexible split schedule that can support school, family responsibilities, or additional commitments.
Responsibilities
- Program Compliance: Ensure staff and program operations consistently meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements.
- Program Leadership: Plan and lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.
- Program Management: Oversee daily operations including attendance tracking, registration updates, scheduling, and staffing support.
- Family Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and caregivers using the Playground App.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with your direct supervisor and team to share updates, solve problems proactively, and maintain a positive and supportive program culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program setting.
- Some experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
- Familiarity with before- and after-school program environments a plus.
- Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations helpful but not required.
- Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances.

Pay
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule
SPLIT SHIFT
Morning Program hours vary between 7:00 - 9:00 am
Afternoon Program hours vary between 2:30 - 5:45 pm
