$16.00 per hour

Schedule

Follows the school calendar.

  • Morning Program: 7:00 AM – 8:35 AM
  • Afternoon Program: 3:20 PM – 6:30 PM
  • Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Do you love working with kids? Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School‑Age Childcare Lead for our Before and After School Program at Bethel Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
  • Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
  • Perform management functions as needed, such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Requirements

Education and Experience – Candidate must possess one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.
  • Bachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Associate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience includes working with school‑age children in after‑school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social‑emotional and academic growth.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks.
  • Must be medically fit to perform job duties, which includes a clear TB.
  • Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lb.
