About the role

The Area Director oversees multiple after-school childcare programs in Southern and Central New Hampshire. This role supports Site Directors, strengthens school partnerships, maintains high-quality programs, and ensures daily operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Support Site Directors, ensuring programs are staffed appropriately
  • Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements
  • Monitor program quality and build strong partnerships with school leaders
  • Address coverage needs proactively to avoid impacting children, families, or staff
  • Ensure children have a safe, engaging, and positive experience during their after-school hours

Requirements

  • Associates degree with 2-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Background in childcare, youth development, K–12 education, or a similar environment
  • Experience managing and controlling staff schedules and daily operational coverage across multiple locations
  • Comfort working directly with school administrators and building staff
  • Familiarity with state childcare licensing requirements (a plus)

Qualifications

Must pass a full background check including fingerprinting and reference checks.
