School Age Childcare Area Director

About the role

The Area Director oversees multiple after-school childcare programs throughout Southern and Central New Hampshire. This role supports Site Directors, strengthens school partnerships, maintains high-quality programs, and ensures daily operations run smoothly across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Supports Site Directors in staffing and scheduling to ensure full coverage each day.
• Ensures programs maintain high quality and comply with state licensing requirements.
• Maintains strong partnerships with school leaders and principals.
• Addresses building-level concerns promptly and professionally.

Requirements

• Associates degree with 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
• Background in childcare, youth development, K–12 education, or a similar environment.
• Experience managing and controlling staff schedules and daily operational coverage across multiple locations.
• Comfort working directly with school administrators and building staff.
• Familiarity with state childcare licensing requirements.

• Pass a full background check including fingerprinting and reference checks.

Pay

$22.00 per hour

Schedule

Flexible, year-round part-time schedule, generally scheduled between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
