School Age Childcare Area Director
About the role
The Area Director oversees multiple after-school childcare programs throughout Southern and Central New Hampshire. This role supports Site Directors, strengthens school partnerships, maintains high-quality programs, and ensures daily operations run smoothly across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Supports Site Directors in staffing sites and ensuring daily operational coverage.
- Maintains compliance with state licensing requirements and monitors program quality.
- Builds strong partnerships with school leaders and addresses building-level concerns promptly.
- Ensures coverage needs are addressed before impacting children, families, or staff.
- Meets enrollment goals and provides positive family experiences.
Requirements
- Associates degree with 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
- Background in childcare, youth development, K–12 education, or a similar environment.
- Experience managing and controlling staff schedules and daily operational coverage across multiple locations.
- Comfort working directly with school administrators and building staff.
- Familiarity with state childcare licensing requirements.

Schedule
This is a part-time, year-round leadership role with a flexible Monday–Friday schedule, generally scheduled between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Pay
$22.00 per hour
