About the role

Patient Access scheduling employees must embody and deliver professionalism, excellent customer service, and communication skills along with excellent oral and verbal communication when scheduling, registering, and communicating with BCM callers.

Responsibilities

  • Meets daily and monthly quotas for scheduling and rescheduling new and established patients following trained guidelines and procedures within the EMR “Epic system”.
  • Meets daily and monthly quotas for full registration following trained guidelines and procedures within the EMR “Epic system”.
  • Follows trained guidelines and procedures for inputting and verifying insurance of new and returning patients utilizing EMR.
  • Provides excellent customer service interactions utilizing trained college-wide patient experience tools.
  • Follows trained guidelines when utilizing telephony tools.
  • Meets monthly and daily quotas for My Chart.
  • Handles all other patient access scheduling and registration workflows.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of patient access experience.
  • Experience with Epic EMR.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Prior customer service experience.
