About the role
This position greets patients, answers calls, schedules appointments, communicates with internal and external customers, collaborates with physician offices, and processes and distributes communications.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and answer calls promptly, courteously, and helpfully, routing them appropriately.
- Schedule patient appointments using software, following established procedures and standards.
- Maintain a pleasant and caring attitude when communicating with all internal and external customers.
- Demonstrate good judgment and time management skills to accomplish daily tasks efficiently.
- Communicate information effectively to patients, families, providers, and service representatives.
- Collaborate with physician offices to monitor resource utilization and deliver quality care.
- Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with organizational guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in patient outreach campaigns to schedule follow-up and annual physical/wellness exam appointments.
- Maintain confidentiality of medical records and other confidential information.
- Process and distribute incoming and outgoing communications.
- Keep updated on current office software and maintain knowledge of office equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of GI procedures and possess practical knowledge and experience in working with practice management software systems.
- Basic understanding of GI procedures.
- Practical knowledge and experience in working with practice management software systems.
- Proficient with computer programs: Email, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, Call Center Software.
- Familiarity with various software packages and navigation techniques.

Qualifications
- High School Grad or Equivalent.
- Field of Study: Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- 1+ position-related experience.
- Office experience in a medical setting is preferred.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $17.40 - $27.84 per hour.
