About the Role
This role is primarily responsible for scheduling crude oil and gas movements across pipelines and vessels for the Atlantic Basin and coordinating with customers and internal stakeholders. To be successful in this role you have demonstrated experience working in Petroleum crude oil and natural gas scheduling operations/risk management and have knowledge of marketing, technical and commercial issues associated with the industry. The role reports to the General Manager, Atlantic M&T and is based in Houston, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Manage nominations, confirmations, imbalances, and other related activity for both crude and gas activities in the Atlantic Basin.
- Develop a deep understanding of commercial contracts and midstream agreements to identify key scheduling levers.
- Monitor contract performance and advise Marketing Managers on options to optimize contracts and minimize executional risks.
- Communicate any production or logistical issues that may impact deliveries and administer effective crisis management strategies as and when supply chain disruptions occur.
- Perform future scenario planning and communicate outcomes to Marketing Managers to enable more informed decision making.
- Prepare presentations and other internal communications for senior leadership to guide and support internal decision-making.
- Ensure all Woodside Energy policies and procedures are met and executed properly.
- Update and analyze various reconciliation files and ensure volumes correspond to production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Logistics, Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or relevant degree.
- Approximately 8 years of gas / crude scheduling and risk management experience preferred.
- Strong teamwork competencies and behaviors consistent with Woodside Charter of values.
- Advanced analytical skills and strong data modeling and forecasting skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, influencing, and interpersonal skills, essential to building constructive relationships and credibility with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with commercial contracts and proven ability to identify and execute operational terms.
- Ability to work unsupervised, manage a significant portfolio base, and meet deadlines.
- May be required to work non-standard hours and be on-call (e.g., ad-hoc weekends covers).
