Scheduling Specialist
About the role
Axia by Qcells is seeking an experienced Scheduling Specialist to manage project scheduling activities across the organization. In this role, you will review pipeline reports to identify projects ready for scheduling and work with stakeholders to resolve issues that may delay progress. You will collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to develop project plans that align resources, timelines, and budgets while ensuring a five-star customer experience.
This position will be based out of one of our offices in Irvine, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Santa Clara, CA with a potential in-office schedule set at the direct manager’s discretion. Remote work may be considered for exceptional cases.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data and report on key scheduling metrics.
- Review pipeline reports to identify projects that are ready for a scheduling event.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify bottlenecks or challenges preventing the scheduling team from achieving quotas.
- Make recommendations for solving problems and work cross-functionally with the leadership team to remove bottlenecks and improve throughput.
- Schedule projects with homeowners and Installation Partners.
- Send purchase requests to the procurement team to order bill of materials.
- Oversee a pipeline of projects at the Site Survey, Install, and Inspection Stages to drive projects through scheduling and completion.
- Break complex projects into manageable actions, establish timeframes, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proactively identify potential risks and develop contingency plans. Elevate risk management strategies to safeguard project outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years (or a bachelor’s degree + 3+ years) of work experience with a proven track record as a Scheduling Specialist, Project Manager, or in a similar role, including managing complex projects from inception to completion, ideally in the retrofit residential PV + ESS renewable energy sector.
- 3+ years of experience demonstrating excellent customer experience enhancing skills, capable of guiding peers and influencing senior-level management and stakeholders to drive positive business outcomes and unparalleled customer experience.
- Exceptional prioritization and time-management abilities, focusing on delivering high-quality positive impact.
- Strong capabilities in client-facing situations and teamwork; adept at negotiating, navigating ambiguity, resolving conflicts, and solving ambiguous challenges.
- Hands-on experience with advanced project management tools (e.g., enterprise-level CRMs) and familiarity with quality assurance and risk management.

Pay
The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications. This target salary range is for CA positions only.
