About the Role
Performs secretarial, clerical, and administrative functions for the Clinic Director and professional staff. Maintains the patient schedule database.
Responsibilities
- Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
- Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
- Assumes responsibility for the scheduling of department-based procedures by following established procedure.
- Schedules patients in a timely manner when received from Physicians and their offices.
- Confirms with Physicians and their offices the time and date of the procedures.
- Informs departmental leadership of scheduling conflicts and works to solve conflicts in a positive manner.
- Maintains information system(s) related to assigned scope of responsibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
