Job Responsibilities
- Schedule and pre-register patients for appropriate procedures based on physician's orders.
- Select accurate medical records for patient safety.
- Provide proper patient instructions, pre-register patients, obtain and validate demographic and insurance information, while offering excellent customer service.
- Perform Point of Service collections and financial counseling functions as required.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodation.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire.
- 1-3 years' work experience in a healthcare related position.
- Experience working with insurance companies and/or pre-authorizations required.
- Experience with patient access, managed care/insurance, formal typing, and MS applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Intermediate proficiency in multiple computer systems and use of dual screens.
- Able to multitask and apply critical thinking skills.
- Customer Service experience highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
Pay and Benefits
This position pays between $15.75-20.90/hour based on experience.
