Responsibilities
- Demonstrates accurate scheduling of all inpatient and outpatient appointments/procedures.
- Completes the pre-registration process by collecting accurate patient demographic, insurance, and co-pay information.
- Performs insurance verification using PCEasy, Quicklink, Omnipro and calls Commercial Insurance companies to identify co-payments and initiate referrals to the hospital financial counselor.
- Interfaces with referring offices for accurate scheduling of procedures and/or pretesting appointments via telephone and fax.
- Captures patient information mailings.
- Demonstrates the ability to arrange for interpreters for all hearing impaired patients.
Requirements
Desired Attributes:
- HS Graduate or equivalent preferred
- Two years health care experience in the area of secretarial, registration, medical billing, and insurance verification preferred
- Strong computer skills

Schedule
Training schedule will begin on the day shift from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM for orientation purposes, then transition to the regular shift of 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM.
