About the role
This position is within the Clinical Resource Unit and Patient Care Services departments at Children’s Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accuracy of staff scheduling/position control database for all Patient Care Services personnel.
- Enters employee and staffing data into staff scheduling computer systems as required.
- Communicates and supports/trains new users on the use of the scheduling systems, policy, guidelines and scheduling accountability.
- Maintains time and attendance records.
- Assesses and communicates staffing resource needs in partnership with the Patient Care Services leadership and helps to coordinate all-calls and staff tracking for scheduling needs.
- Performs system backups and maintenance as appropriate.
- Maintains Patient Care Manager on-call schedule.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience working with personal computers, computer applications (databases, spreadsheets, word processing), preferably in a hospital/health care environment.
- Prior experience in the use of a health system scheduling system preferred.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and excellent organizational skills.
- Analytical ability to gather and interpret data and problem solve difficult scheduling issues.
- Ability to act independently, under minimal supervision.
- Adaptable to a changing environment and growing team.
Skills
- Computer proficiency (databases, spreadsheets, word processing).
- Experience with health system scheduling systems.
