Responsibilities
- Cook up and distribute employee schedules in line with CBAs, seniority, classifications, and availability.
- Keep seniority lists, availability records, roster sheets, and call logs updated.
- Handle employee availability forms and time-off requests.
- Monitor staffing levels and alert about potential shortages.
- Coordinate temporary staffing requests.
- Generate reports for management.
- Provide guidance on scheduling procedures, availability, and CBA provisions.
- Communicate with employees, supervisors, managers, and HR on staffing needs.
- Maintain records for compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and assist with onboarding activities.
- Support uniform distribution and employee record maintenance.
- Assist with Human Resources initiatives, audits, and projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
- Experience in workforce scheduling preferred.
- Experience in a unionized environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreement provisions preferred.
- Experience in event-based or hospitality operations preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with scheduling and workforce management systems preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
