Responsibilities

  • Cook up and distribute employee schedules in line with CBAs, seniority, classifications, and availability.
  • Keep seniority lists, availability records, roster sheets, and call logs updated.
  • Handle employee availability forms and time-off requests.
  • Monitor staffing levels and alert about potential shortages.
  • Coordinate temporary staffing requests.
  • Generate reports for management.
  • Provide guidance on scheduling procedures, availability, and CBA provisions.
  • Communicate with employees, supervisors, managers, and HR on staffing needs.
  • Maintain records for compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and assist with onboarding activities.
  • Support uniform distribution and employee record maintenance.
  • Assist with Human Resources initiatives, audits, and projects.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in workforce scheduling preferred.
  • Experience in a unionized environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreement provisions preferred.
  • Experience in event-based or hospitality operations preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with scheduling and workforce management systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
