About the role
Join CommonSpirit as a Scheduler Pre-Registrar. You will receive phone calls and fax requests to schedule patients for outpatient tests, complete pre-registration of scheduled patients, and ensure a valid provider order is obtained.
This is a PRN position requiring five shifts in a six-week period, used to cover call-offs, vacations, or other coverage needs. PRN employees are not eligible for benefits but receive a 10% differential on top of the base rate of pay.
Remote – must live in Kansas or Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Receive phone calls and fax requests to schedule patients for outpatient tests.
- Complete pre-registration of scheduled patients.
- Ensure a valid provider order is obtained.
Requirements
- 1 year of previous Patient Scheduling or Patient Access experience preferred.
- Office experience in a healthcare environment, familiarity with medical terminology, and knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 codes preferred.
- Ability to multitask.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work – prolonged periods of sitting.
- Exert up to 10 lbs of force occasionally.
Pay
Base rate of pay plus a 10% differential for PRN status.
