Scheduler/Pre-Registrar

About the Role

Join our team as a Scheduler Pre-Registrar. In this role, you will receive phone calls and fax requests to schedule patients for outpatient tests, complete pre-registration of scheduled patients, and ensure a valid provider order is obtained. This is a PRN position requiring 5 shifts scheduled in a 6-week period, used to cover call-offs, vacations, and other coverage needs. The position is remote but requires you to live in Kansas or Colorado.

PRN employees are not eligible for benefits but receive a 10% differential on top of the base rate of pay.

Responsibilities

• Receive phone calls and fax requests to schedule patients for outpatient tests.
• Complete pre-registration of scheduled patients.
• Ensure a valid provider order is obtained.

Requirements

• 1 year of previous Patient Scheduling or Patient Access experience preferred.
• Office experience in a healthcare environment, familiarity with medical terminology, and knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 codes preferred.
• Ability to multitask.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

• Sedentary work involving prolonged periods of sitting.
• Exert up to 10 lbs of force occasionally.

Pay

$16.00 - $23.63 per hour.
