Scheduler - Neuro Diagnostics
Overview
This position is Monday through Friday. The hours are 7:00am until 3:30pm or 8:00am until 4:30pm. Location: Goodman Hall | IU Health Neuroscience Center.
Position Summary
- Schedules diagnostic tests and other medical appointments timely and accurately.
- May obtain related documentation (e.g., patient information, insurance coverage).
- Captures and coordinates scheduling with other departments and facilities.
- Maintains a variety of related records, code charges, etc. and performs related clerical & administrative duties.
- Ensures timely receipt of written orders and verifies that orders meet compliance guidelines as a quality assurance measure.
- May be responsible for charge audit functions for the department.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Medical office experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance verification is preferred.
- Knowledge of Cerner scheduling is preferred.
- Requires general knowledge of medical terminology and general anatomy in order to recognize and accurately record requested examinations and diagnoses.
- Requires basic computer skills.
- Scheduling experience is preferred.
