Scheduler - Infrastructure & Capital Projects

About the role

APSI is seeking a Scheduler II/III to join our corporate team in Irvine, CA. This in-house position supports APSI’s corporate staff and internal project scheduling needs. The position level (Scheduler II or Scheduler III) will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain detailed program schedules using Oracle Primavera P6.
• Support cost and resource loading across various project schedules.
• Run reports on schedule performance, including cash flow forecasts and earned value metrics.
• Assist with the preparation of “what-if” scenarios to assess schedule risk and resequencing impacts.
• Perform preliminary Time Impact Analysis (TIA) reviews and collaborate on delay resolution.
• Help maintain schedule standards, templates, and controls documentation.
• Participate in status update meetings and coordination sessions.
• Support senior staff with quality assurance checks on scheduling deliverables.
• Assist with change order evaluation related to time and schedule implications.
• Review contractor baseline schedules, monthly/weekly schedule updates, and revisions.
• Coordinate closely with cost control and document management teams.
• Analyze cost and resource loading in the baseline and monthly schedule updates and run regular cash flow reports.
• Prepare what-if scenario schedules based on changes in sequence and inform management of possible outcomes.
• Review and analyze time impacts and provide time impact resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of scheduling experience on large-scale vertical construction projects (5–7 years for Scheduler II, 7+ years for Scheduler III).
• Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or other project review tools.
• Self-starter with a proactive, results-oriented mindset and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience as a scheduler.
• Very good knowledge of construction means and methods, sequencing, and strong knowledge of Oracle P6, including MS Office Suite and Bluebeam.
• Exposure to utility and infrastructure coordination within large-scale sites.
• Working knowledge of earned value and forensic schedule analysis.
• Ability to collaborate in a joint venture or multi-partner delivery model.

Pay

$120,000–$150,000/year plus benefits
