Scheduler II

About the role

Gilbane is seeking a self-sufficient Scheduler II to independently support multiple projects or a single complex project. As a Top-10 ENR Contractor with 45 offices, Gilbane has been shaping communities since 1870, delivering projects safely and on-time. Responsibilities

• Monitors multiple projects' compliance with contract specifications and Gilbane's Baseline Operations Playbook
• Assists project personnel with phasing/logistics plans
• Prepares Critical Path Method (CPM) scenarios for management consideration and incorporates the final approach into a complete CPM schedule
• Evaluates schedules and updates prepared by others and makes recommendations as to their completeness, accuracy, and representation of project status
• Communicates with the Owner to assure customer satisfaction or implements corrective action when needed
• Performs schedule and delay analysis and presents recovery recommendations to management
• Ensures project teams are aware of and properly respond to risks relative to schedule and delay
• Provides oversight and notifications to management of any concerns regarding contract notice, delay, and proper documentation of project schedules
• Participates in project pursuits and prepares fee proposals, RFP responses, and presentation content
• Accurately documents schedule basis in narrative identifying critical assumptions for internal use, GMPs, and Owner documentation
• Coaches and mentors less experienced scheduling and project team employees in administrative tasks related to scheduling
• Trains others and makes presentations regarding CPM methods and concepts
• Conducts monthly schedule project audits
• Develops or assists in training Project Managers and Superintendents on how to schedule and use scheduling software to manage work in the field
• Produces project schedule narratives prior to submission to Owner on a monthly basis
• Leads regular jobsite walks with the project team
• Supports a positive and inclusive work environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• 4-12 years relevant experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills

• Self-sufficient in document control and office software such as Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Office
• Self-sufficient in scheduling software, including but not limited to Primavera, Microsoft Project, Touchplan, Hoylu, Netpoint
• Complete understanding of scheduling principles and methodologies, including Critical Path Method and Last Planner
• Thorough understanding of Lean Construction Techniques

Pay

Salary is determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience of the applicant, as well as internal equity and alignment with the team. For Ohio, the range is $95,680–$143,520 plus benefits and retirement program.
