About the role

The Scheduler I is responsible for leading the development of American Rheinmetall (AR) project and program development schedules in support of Program management and product development projects. This role is critical for execution of DoD funded projects, especially those requiring resource loaded schedules and Earned Value Management. The position interfaces with Project Finance and Program Management to develop processes and procedures for DoD-compliant program schedules. Responsibilities include recommending corrective actions, integrating program risks, and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, monitoring, and control of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for large, complex Combat Vehicle development programs requiring Earned Value Management (EVM) or EVM principles.
• Ensure compliance with and improvement of AR processes, procedures, and systems compliant to:

• Lead the execution of Program Management Baseline (PMB) changes through a Baseline Change process.
• Train and assist Cost Account Managers (CAM) within the Integrated Project Team (IPT) in developing resource-loaded schedules, quantifiable backup data, and performance tracking.
• Communicate schedule status, orally and in writing, to internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform Critical Path and Schedule Risk Analysis and communicate findings.
• Support the Project Finance Manager and Finance Director in creating and maintaining a monthly-consolidated dashboard for AR.
• Assist Program Management in preparing reports to support project management.
• Travel up to 10% of the time, with occasional travel to Europe.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Managing Director or delegate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (e.g., Accounting, Business Administration).
• 10+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years in DoD Contract Program Scheduling.
• Expert knowledge of scheduling basics, best practices, and Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
• Experience using scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Deltek Open Plan, Primavera).
• Ability to anticipate, plan, and adapt to changing conditions.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex challenges.
• Must pass a background check, employment verification, reference checks, and controlled substance testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Business Administration.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and/or Project Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) Certification.
