Responsibilities
- Support daily scheduling and production planning activities to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
- Perform capacity planning and product leveling across multiple production lines and departments.
- Prepare and maintain production paperwork, data entry records, and scheduling documentation.
- Manage change orders and backorder resolutions, including preparing order revisions, reviewing acknowledgements, and verifying delivery dates.
- Participate in production and backorder meetings to help identify issues and implement solutions.
- Apply mathematical calculations and formulas to support custom grid edits and order configurations.
- Troubleshoot scheduling, backorder, waste, and system-related issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to production performance and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve processes that enhance production efficiency.
- Learn engineering specifications for Milgard product lines and provide technical support to internal teams, including Sales.
- Execute approved customer change orders and ensure timely follow-up, completion, and communication.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required; additional college coursework is preferred.
- Previous scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to perform advanced calculations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is preferred.
- Previous experience with data entry and customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends as business needs require.
