About the Role

Scar revision is founded on a simple but important principle: a scar does not necessarily have to remain exactly as it is. Dr. James Economides approaches scar revision as an exercise in refinement and integration. The objective is rarely to erase a scar entirely (which is not surgically realistic), but rather to make it less conspicuous, less distracting, and more harmonious with the surrounding anatomy.

Located in Chevy Chase, MD, just 30 minutes outside the Washington, D.C. area, this practice focuses on addressing scars that interrupt facial symmetry, alter contours, create textural irregularities, or feel out of place with the rest of one’s appearance. Some scars remain subtle and largely forgotten, while others continue to draw attention years after the original injury or surgery has faded from memory.
