About the role

This position is responsible for operating a scale and bagger system, keeping accurate count of all materials used, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate scale & bagger system
• Maintain accurate weights and assist in evaluation of product to help ensure weights
• Assist with clean-up and sanitation following USDA/Tyson guidelines
• Maintain and keep accurate count on all materials used
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
• Follow safe practices, including use of personal protective equipment when required
• Follow all sanitary procedures and policies
• Lift up to 50‑70 lbs. occasionally
• Understand and follow instructions given by supervisor
• Safety record will be reviewed for all qualified applicants

Requirements

• 6 months continuous work history within the past 2 years
• Complete an online job application in Workday
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Provide government identification number for verification of previous Tyson employment
• Eligible for rehire after 365 days, provided the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson (subject to longer waiting periods based on dismissal reason)
• Willing to undergo background check if required for the role
