Scaffolder Journeyman ESR

About the role

Everett Ship Repair is the Pacific Northwest Premier Ship Repair Facility, founded in 2019. We offer comprehensive ship repair services, focusing on commercial workboats and passenger vessels. Our proximity to the US Navy makes us a prime candidate for their business as we expand our operations.

Responsibilities

• Independently erect, modify, inspect, and dismantle scaffold systems
• Install, maintain, modify, and remove environmental containment systems, including plastic sheeting, shrink-wrap, debris netting, and temporary enclosures
• Read and interpret scaffold drawings and work plans
• Inspect scaffold materials for damage and serviceability
• Install guardrails, decking, access systems, bracing, and fall protection
• Maintain proper scaffold tagging procedures
• Mentor apprentice scaffolders
• Clock work with Lead Foremen and other trades
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Report hazards and safety concerns
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and productivity
• Perform other tasks as directed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of scaffold experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently erect, modify, inspect, and dismantle scaffold systems
• Proficiency in environmental containment installation
• Strong safety record
• Ability to mentor apprentice scaffolders
• Thorough understanding of scaffold construction methods
• Knowledge of environmental containment installation techniques
• Knowledge of OSHA scaffold standards
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent problem-solving skills
