Scaffold E/D Lead Carpenter

About the role

Sunbelt Rentals—the fastest growing rental business in North America—is seeking a Scaffold E&D Lead Carpenter. Designs and erects various types of scaffolds. Lead Carpenter must act as a mentor and coach to the Scaffold E&D Carpenters to aid in their development. Lead Carpenter is required to work with tools.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively manage a small crew to erect and dismantle various types of scaffolding under the supervision of an E&D Foreman
• Ensure intended loads of the scaffolding are not exceeded

Requirements

• Some trade school preferred but not required
• Scaffold E&D Carpenter for a minimum of 2 years or approved equivalent experience
• Ability to work comfortably and safely at considerable heights
• Bilingual a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations regarding scaffolding
• Good knowledge and understanding of the various types of scaffolding material being used
• Knowledge and use of various types of scaffolding materials

Physical demands

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 40 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.

Pay

Base Pay Range: $18.99 – 23.74. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.

Schedule

• 12–25 vacation days depending on years of service
• 5 sick days
