SCADA Systems Administrator (Gas Operations)
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and support enterprise SCADA platforms supporting utility operations
- Design and maintain SCADA system configurations and operational displays
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, software, servers, and communications
- Support system upgrades, maintenance, and operational activities
- Develop and support HMI displays and real-time/historical databases for operational monitoring and analytics
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot communication between SCADA systems and field devices (RTU, PLC)
- Support remote communications, wireless networking, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3)
- Partner with field technicians and control center operators to ensure system reliability
- Document system configurations, modifications, and operational procedures
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging SCADA technologies, and best practices
Top Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years supporting enterprise SCADA or control systems in industrial or utility environments
- Strong experience with AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (OASyS DNA) or similar platforms
- Expertise in HMI development and SCADA visualization
- Proficient with real-time and historical databases, SQL, and scripting (preferred)
- Skilled in industrial communication protocols including Modbus and DNP3
- Experience with RTU and PLC integration and troubleshooting
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
