SCADA Field Service Technician

About the role

PURVIS Systems, a technology solutions partner serving federal and local government agencies, is seeking a SCADA Field Service Technician. The technician will provide installation, technical maintenance, and repair of video surveillance systems (cameras and peripherals) and access control systems (card readers, intercoms, and peripherals) across various work sites throughout New York City.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain all aspects of video surveillance and access control systems and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot video surveillance and access control systems to the device level.
• Install and configure new software and/or hardware as required.
• Travel throughout New York City boroughs to service equipment at multiple locations.
• Use hand tools and equipment such as multimeters, drills, and other installation/repair tools.
• Run various types of cabling.
• Perform occasional heavy lifting and work at heights using ladders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of work‑related experience in related field.
• Familiarity with all aspects of cameras and desktop environments.
• Knowledge of basic networking, network cabling, and operating systems (Windows 10/11, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use hand tools and electronic test equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting and climb ladders.
