About the role
The SBU Lean Project Specialist is responsible for implementing lean methodologies to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste in various departments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute lean projects to enhance process flow and productivity
- Conduct lean assessments and provide recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean initiatives
- Train team members on lean principles and tools
- Monitor project progress and report findings to management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in lean methodology implementation
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Knowledge of lean tools and techniques
- Experience with Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
