SBA Business Development Officer

About the role

The SBA New Business Development Officer will focus on new business development of SBA loans in the Denver, Colorado area. They will work remotely but must be present in the office on Fridays for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Prepare and present loan proposals to customers
• Work closely with Credit Analysts and an SBA Closer to complete loan processes
• Focus primarily on 7a loans, with the option to consider brokered loans
• Assist in underwriting and closing SBA loans

Requirements

• Proven track record in SBA loan origination
• Experience in developing and maintaining client relationships
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of SBA regulations and guidelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in SBA loan origination
• Preferred certifications such as SBA Certified Lender or SBA Preferred Lender

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
