About the role
This position is for an SBA New Business Development Officer based in Denver, Colorado. The role involves 100% new business development of SBA loans, primarily 7a loans and brokered loans. The incumbent will work remotely but must be present in the office on Fridays for meetings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Prepare loan applications and gather necessary documentation
- Work closely with Credit Analysts and an SBA Closer to ensure successful loan processes
- Manage the loan approval process for SBA loans
- Ensure compliance with SBA regulations and bank policies
Requirements
- Proven track record in SBA loan origination
- Experience in developing and maintaining client relationships
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Knowledge of SBA regulations and banking practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in SBA loan origination
- Preferred certifications such as SBA Certified Lender or SBA Preferred Lender
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
