About the role

Taylor Robinson Music is seeking private music instructors, particularly for Saxophone, to teach students in the San Diego, CA area.

Responsibilities

  • Teach private saxophone lessons in students' homes, your home, or via webcam.
  • Set your own schedule and lesson plans.
  • Be available to travel to students in the San Diego, CA area if preferred.
  • Communicate regularly with the office.
  • Keep your teaching space clean and safe.

Requirements

  • Great with kids and passionate about teaching.
  • Organized and punctual for all lessons.
  • Must have one of the following:
    • A degree in music.
    • Enrollment in a music program.
    • Professional performing experience.
    • Previous teaching experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience with independent contractor pay rates.
  • Ability to set your own pay rate between $20-$30 per hour based on travel time, experience, and student retention.
  • Knowledgeable about online teaching platforms if preferred.

COVID-19 Precautions

Though some students are okay to take lessons via webcam, most students are hoping to go to their instructor's studio or have their instructor come to their home. You must wear a mask, sanitize your hands, & practice social distancing when applicable.
