Saw Operator

Duties And Responsibilities

• Set up and operate horizontal band saws to cut metal materials
• Read and follow cut sheets to ensure accurate production
• Load and unload material onto saws
• Program saws for multiple cuts
• Operate an 8,000 lb. forklift to move materials throughout the facility
• Read tape measures and verify finished dimensions
• Change saw blades and perform basic saw maintenance
• Unload material from flatbed trailers and organize inventory
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures

Requirements And Qualifications

• Previous experience operating horizontal band saws preferred
• Forklift experience required
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
• Ability to read production cut sheets and follow work instructions
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment maintenance
• Ability to lift materials and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
