Saw Operator

About the role

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products. This position is full-time and permanent, with a 1st shift from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Operation of various hand tools to manually construct window units
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate materials based on specifications
• Ensure high-quality welds to meet production standards
• Operate welding machines to fabricate and assemble window frames using various welding techniques
• Ensure accurate measurements and alignment during the welding process
• Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairs
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and regulations (5S / PPE / LOTO)
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and efficiency
• Work in other areas where required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for duration of entire shift
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and measuring tape
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Be able to recognize material by shape and color
• Capable of using computerized equipment
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work in various positions
• Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex
• Must be able to use a tape measure.

Base Pay: $17.75 per hour
