Saw Operator and Material Handler

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Saw Operator and Material Handler to join our growing manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you'll operate saw equipment to cut materials according to precise specifications and manage the movement of materials throughout our facility. Your accuracy, efficiency, and commitment to quality will help ensure smooth production flow and top-notch results.

Responsibilities

• Operate saw equipment to cut materials to exact measurements and specifications
• Set up and adjust machine settings for accuracy and efficiency
• Inspect materials for quality and consistency before and after cutting
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on saw equipment
• Safely move materials to and from work areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or related equipment
• Maintain organized inventory and material storage areas
• Collaborate with production team members to meet deadlines and daily goals
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, orderly work environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Saw Operator in a manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and precise measurements
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials safely
• Commitment to following safety standards and company procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or formal training in saw operation and material handling
• Hands-on experience with band saws and chop saws
• Valid Forklift Certification
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
