Saw Operator - 2nd Shift

American Excelsior Company is seeking an AV Saw Operator to join our 2nd Shift Foam Fabrication team. Responsibilities

• Uses tape measurer frequently and accurately down to 1/16 of an inch
• Sets up and adjusts large foam blocks or sheets to be cut
• May also operate cutdown saw
• Reads and carries out job orders and carefully and safely operates saw
• Responsible for individual quality standards at all times
• Follows directions/instructions from immediate supervisor and safely and effectively applies those instructions
• Follows Company established policies and safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Experience with industrial equipment
• Strong math skills
• Ability to work with measurement devices (tape measure or ruler)
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to work on a manufacturing team
• Solid computer skills
• Print reading experience preferred
• Basic data entry of production information
• Ability to read and follow work instructions

Pay

Starting wage is $22.30 per hour, including a $1.50 per hour shift premium for 2nd shift. Overtime opportunities are available as needed.

Schedule

Full-time position on 2nd shift. No mandated overtime or weekends, though mandatory overtime potential exists during busy season.
