Saturday Course Teacher

Summary Of Position

Milton Academy seeks teachers for The Saturday Course, an enrichment program for public school children in Grades 4-8 with strong academic skills. Independently motivated students can learn compelling material in a fun and exciting environment. Founded in 1978, The Saturday Course has been an integral part of the Academy’s commitment to public/private partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Teach independently motivated students compelling material in a fun and exciting environment.
• Teach subjects in which you are passionate, including but not limited to: animals (zoology), archaeology, astronomy, aviation, creative writing, journalism, sports science, speech and debate.
• Hours for this position are 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays during program dates.
• Candidates are not required to commit to teaching all sessions.

• Experience in teaching subjects in which you are passionate.
• Passion for teaching independently motivated students compelling material in a fun and exciting environment.

Stipend

$1,440 stipend per session (5 Saturdays, 40 hours' total or 8 hours a day from approximately 7am to 3pm).
