SAT Test Prep Instructor (Part Time, In-Person)

General Responsibilities

• Mets regularly with the Director of Educational Development
• Plans and facilitates group standardized test prep sessions
• Aids students in developing appropriate study skills, completing homework and projects, and exploring topics of interest to the student
• Maintains consistent communication with the Director of Educational Development
• Models appropriate academic and social behaviors
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Works effectively with students from diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels
• Possesses good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Demonstrates responsibility, a desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility
• Knowledge of academic content and skills
• Applies knowledge and tools to help students access material
• Collects and analyzes data to drive future instruction
• Works independently applying critical thinking skills and problem-solving to various situations

Qualifications

• Extensive teaching and/or tutoring experience in standardized test prep
