Tutor - SAT/ACT - Part-Time, In-Person

About the role

Tutor part-time, in-person for SAT/ACT preparation at StudyPoint in Detroit/Ann Arbor.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students one-on-one in SAT and/or ACT preparation.
• Provide instruction based on StudyPoint’s curriculum and training.
• Travel to students' homes for in-person tutoring sessions.
• Maintain communication with StudyPoint staff regarding student progress.

Requirements

• Experience tutoring SAT and/or ACT prep preferred.
• Confidence in tutoring the verbal and math sections of the SAT/ACT.
• Ability to travel to various locations within the Detroit/Ann Arbor area.

Qualifications

• State certification as a K-12 teacher preferred.
• Experience working with students with learning differences such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, etc.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual student needs.
• Proficiency in using interactive platforms for virtual tutoring.
