About the role
We are seeking a skilled SAS Viya Admin to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, administration, and ongoing support of the SAS Viya 4 platform in cloud and/or on-premises environments.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure SAS Viya 4 environments using the SAS Viya deployment toolsHelm charts Manual method on Kubernetes clusters
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot the Kubernetes clusters and containerized services hosting SAS Viya 4 components ensuring availability and scalability
- Continuously monitor system performance using tools like Prometheus and Grafana to ensure optimal SAS Viya environment health
- Implement and manage SAS Viya security components including authentication LDAP, Active Directory integration, authorization, encryption, and audit logging
- Design, implement, and validate backup and disaster recovery strategies for SAS Viya 4 critical components ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity
Requirements
- Strong experience with SAS Viya 4 platform installation administration and troubleshooting
- Deep understanding of SAS Viya architecture and microservices deployment
- Proficiency with Kubernetes administration including pod management, namespaces, persistent storage, PVPVC, Helm charts, and network policies
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker
- Strong Linux administration skills RedHat, SLES, Ubuntu
- Experience with public cloud platforms AWS particularly their Kubernetes services EKS
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code Terraform, CloudFormation, and configuration management Ansible, Puppet
- Proficient in at least one scripting language Bash, Python
- Strong background in automation of deployment and monitoring workflows
- Experience integrating SAS Viya with identity providers LDAP, Active Directory, OAuth
- Knowledge of role based access control RBAC in Kubernetes and SAS environments
- Understanding of encryption technologies and compliance standards

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 90786- 110273

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
