SAP Transportation Management (TM) Developer

About the role

This is a 6-month contract position based in Allendale, NJ, requiring 8-10 years of SAP Transportation Management (TM) experience. The role focuses on designing, developing, and customizing technical solutions for SAP TM within S/4HANA and/or SCM environments.

Required Experience & Skills

• 8-10 years of SAP Transportation Management (TM) experience
• Excellent proficiency in SAP TM processes, including: Forwarding Orders, Freight Orders, Transportation planning and execution
• Hands-on experience with SAP TM configuration and administration
• Strong ability to understand business and user requirements and translate them into effective SAP TM configurations and solutions
• Experience with at least 2 end-to-end SAP TM implementations
• Strong understanding of SAP TM functionality within S/4HANA and/or SCM environments

Essential Skills

• Design, develop, build, and customize technical solutions for SAP TM
• Develop SAP TM solutions within S/4HANA or SAP SCM environments
• Develop and implement custom enhancements
• Work with BOPF objects and frameworks
• Develop and manage ABAP objects related to SAP TM
• Implement charge calculation logic and related enhancements
• Configure and support SAP TM integrations
• Implement system integrations using: Proxies, IDocs, OData
• Analyze technical and functional requirements and translate them into scalable SAP TM solutions
• Support configuration, development, testing, deployment, and production activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP TM technical and integration issues
• Collaborate with functional teams, business users, and technical stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle

• Support SAP TM processes from forwarding order creation through freight order execution
• Develop custom ABAP/BOPF solutions as required
• Implement and maintain charge calculation functionality
• Design and support integrations between SAP TM and other enterprise systems
• Participate in end-to-end SAP TM implementation projects
• Support testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing system maintenance
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and business stakeholders
