About the role
6-month contract position based in Indianapolis, IN.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in SAP Transportation Management (TM).
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation management processes, including:
- Route optimization.
- Carrier selection.
- Freight planning.
- Load building.
- Strong understanding of the SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management module.
- Experience integrating SAP TM with other SAP modules.
- Proficiency in SAP Transportation Management functionality and configuration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Nice-to-have skills
- SAP certification in Transportation Management.
- Experience integrating transportation management solutions with external systems, including:
- Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of industry-specific transportation challenges and best practices.
- Experience with transportation management reporting and analytics tools.
Responsibilities
- Analyze transportation requirements and design optimal transportation management solutions using the SAP S/4HANA platform.
- Configure and customize transportation management functionality within SAP S/4HANA.
- Design solutions aligned with business transportation processes and requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP TM with:
- Other SAP modules.
- External transportation systems.
- Warehouse management systems.
- Lead and support SAP Transportation Management implementation projects.
- Support all phases of TM implementation, including:
- Requirements analysis.
- Solution design.
- Configuration.
- Testing.
- User training.
- Go-live support.
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to end users and stakeholders.
- Recommend transportation management best practices and process improvements.
- Support issue resolution and continuous optimization of SAP TM solutions.
- Work closely with business and technical teams to ensure successful transportation management implementations.
