SAP TM ABAP Developer

About the Role

As a SAP TM ABAP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing SAP Transportation Management (TM) solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ABAP development within the SAP Transportation Management module and a demonstrated history of delivering high-quality solutions through successful implementations.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom ABAP programs, enhancements, and modifications within the SAP Transportation Management module to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical expertise in solution design.
• Lead and participate in all phases of SAP TM implementation projects, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and support user acceptance testing to ensure the quality of developed solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP TM ABAP development.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing SAP TM applications.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in SAP TM development and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 3 years specifically focused on SAP Transportation Management (TM) or Transport Management System (TMS).
• Proven experience leading and participating in multiple end-to-end SAP TM implementations.
• Proficiency in ABAP programming language, including Object-Oriented ABAP, BAPIs, BAdIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework.
• Strong understanding of SAP TM functionalities and configuration.
• Experience with SAP TM integration with other SAP modules such as SAP ERP, SAP EWM, and SAP S/4HANA.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience working in a consulting environment is preferred.
• SAP TM certification is a plus.
