Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and explain complex technical concepts in simple business terms.
- Design and develop technical solutions that align with established standards and business needs.
- Perform root cause analysis on application issues and implement long-term fixes; document solutions to build the support knowledge base.
- Evaluate current system capabilities, recommend necessary changes, and assess their business impact.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to agree on technical solutions before implementation.
- Ensure all technical documentation is accurate and updated as changes occur.
- Test technical changes and support business system analysts with functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Monitor and optimize ABAP programs using tools like Runtime Analysis, Code Inspector, SQL Trace, and System Log.
- Design overall system architecture and develop prototypes for major components.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant work experience.
- Advanced degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or at least 5-7+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Understanding of EDI common standards and data mapping.
- Familiarity with commonly used technical concepts, practices, and procedures within SAP.
- Comprehensive understanding of SAP PI/PO functionality and architecture.
- Proven ability to problem-solve, multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and work independently in fast-paced environments.
