About the role
As a leader in SAP development, you will establish development standards, oversee technical designs, and drive the continuous improvement of software solutions. You will provide technical direction to a team of SAP developers, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability of software solutions while collaborating closely with Solution Architects.
Responsibilities
- Establish development standards, best practices of Software Development Life Cycle, and ensure adherence through code reviews.
- Review and provide guidance on technical designs; recommend improvements for performance and sustainability.
- Oversee the design, development, integration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of SAP solutions.
- Provide technical direction to a team of SAP developers, including mentoring and evaluating performance.
- Oversee development work according to specifications and project plans, ensuring adherence to requirements, implementation, testing, and integration.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of software solutions.
- Collaborate with Solution Architect(s) to develop a sound and scalable technical architecture.
- Drive continuous improvement processes, including Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Participate in customer collaboration efforts aligned with product objectives.
- Perform error analysis and removal; extend, modify, or adapt existing designs.
- Contribute to the development of new systems or subsystems.
- Provide technical oversight and leadership necessary to accomplish work.
- Participate in project reviews; develop project reporting, planning, issue resolution, and risk mitigation activities.
- Create technical project schedules, plan tasks, assign resources, and monitor progress across technical teams.
- Prepare progress reports for internal leadership and customers; monitor project progress.
- Mitigate risks, address issues, interface with customers, and keep leadership informed on project status.
- Develop basis of estimates and program schedules for multiple solution alternatives.
- Author white papers, root cause analysis, and other solution-related documentation as needed.
- Foster a collaborative environment focusing on team learning and development.
- Mentor and guide team members as they prepare deliverables and resolve project issues.
- Provide support to management and perform duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (no dual status).
- Possess an active Secret security clearance or be clearable.
- 15+ years’ experience in SAP application development with progressive experience from developer to leadership roles.
- 7+ years of direct (hands-on) experience within SAP projects (modules include EWM, FI, TM, MM, etc.).
- Minimum of 2 full SAP life cycle development implementations.
- 3+ years of Agile development process experience.
- Current or past DoW experience (e.g., AESIP, LMP, GCSS, GFEBs) is desired.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations as required.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $93,897.00 - $198,904.00. The range considers factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.
