SAP SuccessFactors Analyst
The Illinois Tollway is dedicated to providing and promoting a safe and efficient system of highways while ensuring the highest possible level of service to customers. Operations are funded by toll and concession revenues—no state or federal tax dollars are used to support maintenance and operations.
About the role
The SAP SuccessFactors Analyst provides daily support for HR systems, including facilitating workshops with business users to understand issues, gathering requirements, designing, testing, and implementing solutions. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail, adaptability to competing demands, and high-level communication with team members and external resources. The analyst will use their knowledge of business processes and SAP SuccessFactors functionality to propose, design, and deliver value-added solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison to business users and key stakeholders to evaluate current business processes, facilitate business process improvement discussions, identify solutions for complex problems, and translate business needs into system requirements.
- Perform support for maintenance, minor enhancement requests, and aid system integrators on large projects and major enhancements.
- Lead the creation and implementation of new or enhanced SAP functionality, including:
- Identifying, gathering, and documenting clear and complete functional requirements, including impacts and changes to business processes.
- Analyzing options and designing potential solutions, including integrating various modules and third-party systems to align with stakeholder needs and industry best practices.
- Preparing or updating functional specifications for proposed changes, including configuration, RICEFW (reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows), and security.
- Performing functional configuration tasks.
- Maintaining security role mappings, segregation of duties, and functional workflow administration.
- Planning, performing, and monitoring unit, system, and integration testing, and facilitating user acceptance testing.
- Conducting refresher training, developing related documentation, and creating job aids.
- Planning and deploying releases into production system environments, including the rollout of new processes and procedures.
- Updating technical system documentation and business process documentation.
- Provide system support, including managing change requests, reporting business metrics, and assisting business users.
- Troubleshoot problems, conduct root cause analysis, and facilitate correction and resolution of defects with internal teams, operations groups, or vendors.
- Research and recommend best-practice solutions to continuously improve business processes using SAP functionality.
- Support organizational change management and training to ensure application solutions are adopted and fully utilized.
- Provide mentoring for less experienced colleagues and power users as required.
- Continually learn new SAP functionality while deepening knowledge in assigned functional areas through SAP user community participation and continuous learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical, analytical, or specialist role supporting HR systems.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting SAP Employee Central (EC) core HR and Payroll Central.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with one or more other modules (Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Learning, Performance & Goals, Time Management, and Benefits Administration).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with business process mapping and requirement definition.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience performing configuration tasks and writing RICEFW functional specifications.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in planning and developing test plans, managing and executing testing, and verifying test results.
- Experience using SuccessFactors reporting tools like People Analytics, People Stories, Tiles, and Report Center.
- Experience using SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Experience eliciting and creating consensus on requirements across different organizational units and describing business designs in actionable terms.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Highly effective time and project management skills, including coordinating design, testing, and implementation.
- Strong team player with the ability to develop effective working relationships.

Qualifications
- 4-year college degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Skills (Preferred)
- SAP SuccessFactors Certifications on EC Modules.
- Experience with SuccessFactors Integration Center, Report Center, and role-based permissions.
- SAP HANA and Fiori experience.
- SAP BI experience.
- Experience with at least 1 full-cycle SAP SuccessFactors implementation.
