SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer (Mid) - U.S. Citizenship Required
About the role
The Mid-Level S/4HANA SAP ABAP Developer will support an SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation project for a large government contract. This role involves designing and developing comprehensive solutions within the S/4HANA platform, integrating backend SAP and non-SAP applications, and enhancing system performance and business processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive solutions within the S/4HANA platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with complex business objectives.
- Develop and manage integrations between S/4HANA and external systems using advanced technologies and protocols, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Analyze and enhance system performance and business processes within S/4HANA, leveraging advanced tools and techniques to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Utilize SAP Gateway Service Builder to develop SAP OData entities, enabling consumption by external applications using the HTTP(s) protocol.
- Participate in the analysis of customer business operations to validate requirements and scope, proactively suggesting process improvements.
- Work closely with business and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into effective S/4HANA solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain detailed SAP documentation, conducting thorough unit, integration, and release testing to validate functionality and ensure quality.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development and overall SAP experience.
- Experience with S/4HANA is required.
- Proven hands-on experience integrating backend SAP and non-SAP applications.
- Proficiency in SAP ABAP development and HANA CDS Views.
- Demonstrated implementation experience with SAP Fiori and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Proficiency in working with Web Services, Proxies, and APIs for seamless system integration.
- Hands-on development experience across a wide range of ABAP technologies, including Reports, RFCs, Forms, Object-Oriented ABAP (OOP), BAPIs, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Data Conversions (BDC, LSMW, IDocs, ALE, and Workflows).
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in debugging and performance tuning of ABAP programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations.
- Ability to self-learn new technologies in the UI space, working with minimal direction and supervision.
Qualifications
- To Be Successful In This Role: U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a CGI background check are required prior to beginning work. Candidates must also have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.

- Desired Qualifications: Experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP). Certifications related to Application Development, SAP BTP, or Agile methodologies.

$89,600.00 - $194,000.00
Schedule
Hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.
